Look Everywhere for Assets

“There’s Gold in Them Thar Hills.”

Well, maybe not gold and maybe not in the hills, but there could be money sitting out there.

What am I talking about?

When someone passes away, you’ve got to really dig and find to see where that person might have hid some money or records of where they might have assets.

I’ll give you an example.

When my grandparents passed away, my mother and my aunt went through the apartment and they found all this money stashed away in coat pockets and in pants pockets.

Check clothing that some people might have just taken and given straight to Goodwill or donated or thrown in the trash.

Look Everywhere for Assets

So you want to look everywhere. You want to look under furniture, the back of the freezer, you might look inside the piano, because people hide money and hide records in really weird places. So make sure you go through everything.

Maybe look through some big books because that’s where people hide stuff.

Maybe look to see if anything is taped on the back of a bookcase. Just be really thorough. Hopefully you’ll find something. Have a great day.
